Our beautiful antique oak chest lid was very badly damaged in transit from U.K. to NZ. We were concerned that we would not be able to find anyone able to restore it to its original state, but we were very fortunate, after a long search online, to come across Mark Biggelaar and his company, Earthwood. Mark was very confident in his ability to repair the chest lid and his price quote was reasonable. We decided to give him the job. We are so glad we did as the results were outstanding. He repaired the lid sympathetically, within a very acceptable time frame, maintaining its antique nature and managing to recreate the patina of the original.
We cannot praise his work enough and will not hesitate to use his skills again should the need arise.
